Role of Lady Health Workers (LHWs) |

In SVs, lady health workers(LHWs) visit to have session with mothers & children on regular basis.She conducts health sessions on basic health topics and measures height and weight of the children as per their growth chart. Information and precautions on other viral or common diseases ( Diarrhea, Fever-primary health issues) is given to mothers and children are focused to prevent from them |

Doctor’s Visit |
Doctors visit the centres for children’s regular medical check ups and in case of any problem or daignosis of any disease they are reffered to the Basic Health Unit (BHU )& tertiary centres if needed |

Skills and Livelihoods – Mothers/Older Siblings
This is just beginning of skills and livelihood program in 15 locations of south Punjab. On Thursday June 21st, 2012 the first trade commenced for mothers and older siblings through TEVTA certification at 50% fees for a 3 months course (beautician ...high demand) – ITA has MOU with TEVTA. It is an opportunity to learn skills, enterprise, linkages to micro credit. This program component will be expanded to all SVs and will be tracked for livelihoods linkages. All mothers/trainees will be provided exposure to DRR and life skills within 3 months... to empower local females in different ways |
